Sun damage & Aging - September 10th, 2009
We were sitting in a meeting one day and my spouse leaned over and commented about a lady a few row up from us. She is always very welled dressed and works out to have a good body, but it was her face. It shows years of basking in the sun with little to no protection. It makes her look years older than she actually is. I think that is sad. Plus she does hair for a living and her hair showed signs of sun damage also.
Being in that line of work you have to have a sense of self and know that everyone is looking at you to see if you are who they want to be the one that makes them their best self. She had good features and is pretty, but she could look so much better if not for the daily application of a great sunscreen. I love a bit of color and sun, but I make sure to apply a moisturizer with sunscreen everyday. I want to be the one that looks 30 at 50 not 50 at 30. And even use products for the hair that helps maintain that healthy and young look.
Free Trial Offer Wrinkle Creams - September 9th, 2009
I was driving home the other day and heard a commercial on that radio promising to abolish those dark circles under your eyes. Best of all the cream and the trial period were free. That’s it, free, nothing else about processing, shipping or handling. So I called. As always my gut never lies to me. I was greeted by this gentleman that was more than excited to do his job, and was probably starting to peak from the fifty energy drinks that he sucked down earlier in the day.
He immediately sold me on their product and how great of a deal it was. He led me up this mountain of excitement, only to push me off the side when he informed me that it wasn’t really free, because I had to pay the thirty bucks for shipping. This was a tube of cream, where were they shipping it from? I was taken back and told him I didn’t have the money right now. He asked for a credit card, which I stated I didn’t have. Then he took it to a level that I have only seen bill collectors go, he asked if there were any family members he could talk to and have them pay for it. I couldn’t believe this was for real, or that any one would fall for that. Needless to say, I hung up and still wonder if that cream would have really worked.
Food For Younger Skin - September 8th, 2009
You can have the benefits from all the expensive skin products and eye creams without spending any money or even leaving the house. You can use things from your home, more specifically your fridge and pantry. Sometimes I worry about all the chemicals and things I can’t pronounce being put in and on my body. This way you know exactly what is in what you are putting on your face.
You can use things like olive oil, sugar, milk, lemon juice and fruits for your masks and scrubs. One especially for the eyes would be to take a potato and peel it and shred it up. Then add it to some applesauce. Let is sit in the fridge for about an hour and then pat it around the eyes. Let that sit for about 15 minutes and then wipe it off with a warm wash cloth. This can be followed up with a cotton ball dipped in milk for more softness. There are all kinds of different combinations based on what your skin needs are. And you can even try making different combinations to create the best scrubs and masks for your skin. And all without having to leave the house.
eye creams - September 3rd, 2009
I don’t have many wrinkles, but I do have a few. And like most everyone else there are nights that I don’t get enough sleep and that shows, especially under my eyes. I tried an eye cream a few years ago. I don’t feel that I need to use it every day, or even every other day. But I do use it at least once a week and I feel that it does help in firming up that eye area. I only have every tried one and there are probably better products on the market now. However I sometimes shy away from brand new things. Sometimes the latest craze or fad isn’t the best out there.
I tried a new blush that was suppose to help with skin and wrinkles and all it did was make my face break out, on my cheeks. A place you can hardly hide a blemish. So that blush was promptly thrown away. I have doing that. Spending money on what you think is a good product and it ends up being trash. But so far I do like my eye cream. Luckily that was money well spent. I am sad that Rite Aid is practically out of business. All the locations in my area are gone. Their policy for returning makeup was unprecedented.
